I visited the Buckminster Fuller exhibit at the Whitney today. Fuller was our first science fiction architect — he seriously proposed encasing part of Manhattan in a giant glass dome — and some of his designs were so bizarre that they can only be understood as artworks. (And that’s not even mentioning his utterly insane publications.) Highly recommended.
